In your battle for Speaker of the House:
Advice #1 – STAND YOUR GROUND
Advice #2 – PLAY THE LONG GAME
Advice #1 – STAND YOUR GROUND > If you want the bullies to respect you, then bully back hard and STAND YOUR GROUND. Do not give in to the concessions demanded to strip you of the Speaker’s power.
Their complaint is that you do not fight back against the Democrats!? Well then, start by defending and loudly championing your own record against those hyenas. If you give in to that rabble, then you will not last long in the Speaker’s chair as the sharks will be circling immediately. You know they can smell a wounded animal.
To WIN > FIGHT for All or Nothing.
Advice #2 – PLAY THE LONG GAME > So what if it takes days or weeks of votes – make the bullies the villains (which, of course, they are anyway) to the public. Even if another is finally elected as a ‘compromise’ candidate, you will be unscathed, ready to pounce. In reality, how long will the ‘compromise’ Speaker last? The ‘compromise’ Speaker will be able to please no one, and will soon be given the Boehner treatment.
At which time the asylum inmates will realize that you are the only one who can fill the void. Every remaining ‘compromise’ candidate will have too much baggage.
But demand UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER of the inmates. You can then ascend to the throne you have coveted for so long as THE source of power in the House. But even so, the coronation will be brief.
To WIN > FIGHT for All or Nothing!
