Typical brazen Republican hypocrisy – their self-serving definition of ‘law and order’. They can break any law – by their order! The Centrists will NEVER forget. Trump is still their Overlord, and Gang Greed is still their ‘Golden Calf’.

Gunning for Money
Crime and gun violence is once again a hot button issues for the mid-term elections. This has been a standard election narrative from the Republican play book to blame the Democrats for at least 50 years. They bring it out every election. They yell about crime statistics and always blast the Democrats. The Republicans have already broadcast approximately 29,000 crime ads against the Democrats in August, and over 55,000 in September. This year, they still using the George Floyd killing in May 2020 and the ‘Defund the Police’ backlash by the liberal Democrats, as proof they are the only party (in their opinion) of ‘law and order’. But the Republicans must scream loudly and blame someone else to cover up their own bloody hypocrisy about gun rights and money, money, money.
So lopsided. This year at least $2,499,367 has been given to Congress from Gun Rights companies and groups. Of that, $2,489,667 has gone to Republicans and $12,300 to Democrats!!! Even with the thousands of shootings this year, including the May 24, 2022, Uvalde, TX, school mass shooting, Sen. Ted Cruz has received the most gun rights money at $442,000. After a Texas backlash, he stated simply that gun control will not help and that more resources need to be available to stop violent criminals. However, the perpetrators of mass shooting are usually not violent gun criminals – but rather white, lone wolf types.
The Centrists agree that the ‘Defund the Police’ movement was a knee-jerk reaction by the liberal left Democrats and counter-productive. Thereafter, inner-city crime spiked requiring liberal Democratic city governments to abruptly reverse course. Of course, the Republicans quickly exploited those issues.

However, it is actually the Republicans that always demonstrate their complete disregard for ‘law and order’. Following the Uvalde shooting, the Democrats were able to muster bipartisan support for the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act signed by President Biden on June 25, 2022. It included measures for gun safety, mental health, and school safety. 80% of Democrats and Independents approved of the new law, but 47% of Republicans did not. 89% of Democrats want more and stricter legislation, but 66% of Republicans do not. We call this the Second Amendment (gun rights) Divide. The Democrats use common sense to believe that fewer guns means more safety. Conversely, with the country awash in guns (and their pockets full of gun rights money) the Republicans arrogantly demand that MORE guns will deter crime. Arm the kindergartners!!
Trump Coup and More Republican Hypocrisy
To add insult to common sense, the Trump January 6, 2021, attempted coup investigation by the Justice Department, and the subsequent discovery of Trump’s theft of many thousands of pages of documents and classified material from the White House by the FBI in August, 2022, caused the Trump Republicans to howl to ‘defund the FBI’ and ‘impeach the Attorney General’!! Typical brazen Republican hypocrisy – their self-serving definition of ‘law and order’. They can break any law – by their order! The Centrists will NOT forget.
Th gun rights and the insurrection crimes really show the influence of gun rights money, and election donor money, on ubiquitous Republican corruption, and their hypocritical boasts of ‘law and order’. Trump is still their Overlord, and Gang Greed is still their ‘golden calf’.
In our opinion, the Centrists should never be fooled by the Republican high-crime attack ads. They are only covering up their own greed to keep the gun rights – and election money – firehose of cash flooding into their pockets. The public be damned.
